Something Fishy

Did you know that in 2017 the UK fishing fleet made around 20% of its total catch from non-UK waters?

According to official figures, out of the seven other EU Member States’ waters that the UK landed fish from the most valuable for the UK fleet were (avg. 2012 – 2016):

Ireland (65,000 tonnes, £66 million)
France (14,000 tonnes, £17 million)
Denmark (7,000 tonnes, £10 million)
The most valuable fish caught by UK vessels in other EU member state waters were: mackerel, plaice and monks/anglers.

Parliamentary petition on press regulation

If you have ever read the likes of The Express, Daily Mail or the Sun I’m sure you will have been concerned about the quality of the reporting, the lack of impartiality and indeed the lack of accuracy at times. Indeed the material published by such so called newspapers about the EU is a cause for concern.

Our campaign has therefore set up a parliamentary petition aimed at starting to address this issue by calling for the replacement of the current voluntary system of self regulation with one of statutory regulation by a regulator with the ability to deal effectively with transgressors.

You can see and sign the petition by clicking here

Pro EU businesses

We have established a new Facebook group to bring together pro EU businesses and Rejoiners called IN Business.
The group will maintain a list of pro EU Businesses which will also be posted in the forums section of the website. Pro EU businesses will also be able to promote their products and services to Rejoiners and it is hoped they will also offer discounts.
You can join the group by clicking here

***IMPORTANT UPDATE***

We have heard from the owners of Patisserie Valerie who have informed us that since the previpus CEO left the company has no political views. Having undertaken some investigation, we are happy with this reassurance.

We are therefore ending this write a review campaign now.

Indeed in light of this you may wish to consider editing or deleting your review

Write A Review Campaign – Patisserie Valerie

Today sees our Boycott Group’s next ‘write a review’ campaign targeting Patisserie Valerie.

Their CEO publicly backed the Leave Campaign saying that EU regulations were bad for business – which includes regulations that protected workers rights

The aim is to raise awareness among consumers of their support for the Leave campaign and to get them to drop that support.

Campaign to Rejoin Survey

This is an anonymous survey. Your IP is not collected, and we do not ask for any personal details. You do not need to be logged in to fill in this survey. Results will be published on our website and across our social media.

How did you vote in the 2016 referendum?
Are you willing to attend demonstrations/protests?
What is your opinion of the current Tory government?
Was your vote 'tactical'?
Would you be interested in a new pro-remain/rejoin party?

UKIN.EU has a forum which you can find by clicking here (opens in a new window, you will not lose survey progress). It's pretty new, so relatively quiet so far but we have big plans for it to become a hub of pro-rejoin conversation away from social media, which not everyone uses. We ask for some basic personal data on registration, but this is only to comply with regulations, and we will never pass your data to any third party. We are also advert-free and will remain this way.

Have you signed up to our forum yet? (No obligation)
